Diego was a special man from day one, he had a personality much larger than himself, he had a beautiful head, expression and eye. A wonderful mover and with lovely proportions and carriage moving. He was an excellent sire producing Best in Show winning puppies and Poodle Club of America Best of Winners.
He finished his American championship easily including majors at specialties under breeder Judges Luiz Aizcorbe and Jon Thompson. He was smaller in size than usually seen in American show rings, so i spoke with our friend Charlotte Sandell about taking Diego to Europe. Right from the get go he was a star, winning BIS#2 at Eurpoean Winners Show. He went on to have a wonderful career in Scandinavia with Lotta, he went to England for awhile where he stayed with Philip Langdon and enjoyed success as a sire in England too. He truly is a special boy.
